What cookies are, how Verdelith uses them, and how you can control them.
Last updated: 1 January 2025
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work properly and to provide website owners with information about how their sites are being used.
Cookies are not programs and cannot carry viruses or malware. They are simply data files that help websites remember information about your visit.
Verdelith uses two categories of cookies:
These cookies are essential for the Site to function correctly. They enable core functionality such as remembering your cookie consent preference. The Site cannot function properly without these cookies, and they do not require your consent under applicable law.
With your consent, we use basic analytics cookies to understand how visitors interact with the Site in aggregate — for example, which pages are viewed most often and how long visitors spend on each page. This information is used to improve the Site's content and usability. Analytics data is collected in anonymised aggregate form and is not used to identify individual users.
We do not use:
| Cookie Name | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
vdl_cookie_consent |
Necessary | Stores your cookie consent choice (accepted/declined) so the banner is not shown on every page visit. | 12 months |
_ga |
Analytics | Google Analytics — distinguishes unique users using a randomly generated number. Used in aggregate only. | 2 years |
_ga_* |
Analytics | Google Analytics — maintains session state for analytics data collection. | 2 years |
Analytics cookies are only set if you accept cookies through our consent banner. The vdl_cookie_consent cookie is always set once you interact with the banner.
If analytics cookies are accepted, cookies may be set by Google Analytics (operated by Google LLC). Google may process analytics data in accordance with its own privacy policy. We have configured Google Analytics with IP anonymisation enabled.
We use Phosphor Icons loaded from a CDN (unpkg.com). This CDN service may set server-side logs but does not set user-facing tracking cookies.
When you first visit the Site, a cookie consent banner is displayed. You may:
Your preference is stored for 12 months. You may change your preference at any time by clearing your browser cookies (which will reset the banner) or by contacting us.
You can control and/or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
Please refer to your browser's help documentation for instructions. Note that disabling necessary cookies may affect the functionality of some parts of the Site.
We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies changes or as regulatory requirements evolve. The "Last updated" date will be revised accordingly.
